Well, it looks like Franklin Country has come up trumps again! – with the Waiuku Steel ‘n Wheels Day on the 11th May
According to the local paper, The Post, an estimated 20,000 people surged in to the town of Waiuku on Sunday 11th May, to see the Steel ‘n Wheels displays.
There were around 300 machinery attractions and vehicles on display as well as a number of stalls from local businesses.
The Glenbrook Vintage Railway added to the enjoyment of the day by taking around 800 people to the event.
There were classic cars, vintage cars, dragsters and live bands, to name just a few things on show.
The festival was bigger and better than last year, so look out for next years event – right here in Franklin!!
